Digital Technologies in Movement Disorders.-
Medicine is becomingly increasingly digital, and the area of Movement Disorders is perhaps one of the most paradigmatic examples. In this volume, we will review the recent advances on new technologies for the care of this common conditions, including Parkinson’s disease and other diseases. The book has been organized in four differentiated sections. In the first part after the introductory chapter, we review artificial intelligence and its applications in the field. After this we have devoted five chapters to the use of sensors in Movement disorders reviewing basic concepts and more specific pragmatic aspects related to their clinical and research use. The third part focuses on telemedicine and area that has greatly expanded in the recent years due to the COVID pandemic. Finally, we review the use of technology to treat disease including breakthrough development such as High Focused Ultrasound and telerehabilitation tools.
