Our textbook offers an in-depth summary of the knowledge required to pass the FRCS examination (Board examination) in Trauma and Orthopedic surgery and is based on the curriculum for UK, US, Canadian and Australasian orthopedic trainees.
It presents the general features of every major orthopedic sub-specialty: basic sciences, spine, upper limb, trauma, lower limb, and pediatrics. Two additional chapters list the most recent references to quote for each topic in trauma and orthopedics as well as the ‘gems and pearls,’ which describe the key facts often asked about during the examination. The book uses a bullet point format, which was chosen in order to facilitate the learning experience and help readers memorize and organize what they have learned.
